The New Business segment engages in the development of overseas and other activities. The Plant Construction segment constructs petroleum refineries, gas, petrochemical, waste and water treatment plants. The company was formerly known as LG Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. and changed its name to GS Engineering & Construction Corporation in March 2005. GS Engineering & Construction Corporation was incorporated in 1969 and is based in Seoul, South Korea.
